Van Centre:
The confidence in our range is matched by a 3 year whole vehicle warranty comprising 2 years unlimited mileage manufacturer's warranty plus 1 year Van Centre Warranty. The Van Centre Warranty extends the manufacturer's warranty for a third year, or up to a maximum of 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
If a vehicle completes more than 100,000 miles in the first 2 years it will benefit from the manufacturer's warranty for the first 2 years but the third year Van Centre Warranty will not apply. This warranty applies to every Volkswagen commercial vehicle, from the stylish Caddy, to the rugged Crafter, our versatile Transporter and Caravelle people carrier to Volkswagen based motorhomes. It applies to the base vehicle only and not to any special fittings, conversions or additional bodywork.
Extended warranties are available. Please ask your nearest Volkswagen Assured Used Van Centre, which can be found using our Van Centre search.
Should a defect in manufacture or workmanship occur on your Volkswagen, despite careful treatment and maintenance as specified in the Service Schedule Book and Owner's Instruction Manual, any authorised Volkswagen Van Centre in the United Kingdom will rectify such defects without charge during the warranty period, even if you did not purchase the vehicle from that authorised Van Centre.
The warranty does not cover damage or defects due to:
- Repairs by a workshop not authorised by Volkswagen.
- Installation of parts not approved by Volkswagen.
- Failure by the customer to comply with the operating instructions in the Owner's Instruction Manual, Service Schedule Book or any other literature supplied by the manufacturer or a Van Centre from time to time.
- Special fittings, conversions or additional bodywork.
Normal wear and tear is not covered by the warranty. The same applies to damage caused by improper handling or misuse (as in motorsport, for example).
3 year whole vehicle warranty.
Consisting of a two year unlimited mileage manufacturer's warranty and one year Van Centre warranty. In the third year the warranty continues until a maximum of 100,000 miles. Third year warranty is only available on vans purchased and registered in the UK through a Volkswagen Van Centre. Warranty excludes non-durable parts such as brakes and clutch linings.
Body protection warranty.*
Special rust proofing treatment of internal body sections and panels, applied at the time of manufacture, guards against rusting through from the inside. Should this occur during the warranty period rectification will be made free of charge, and is not subject to compulsory inspections as with other 'anti-corrosion' guarantees.
Paintwork warranty.*
There are no special conditions attached and defects to paintwork caused during manufacture will be rectified without charge. Naturally, during the warranty period the vehicle should be cared for in compliance with the operating instructions.
Warranty enhancements.
For added peace of mind, a warranty enhancement is available to protect you from a wide range of repair costs. This flexible scheme is available from any Van Centre, has very few exclusions and adds to the confidence that the Volkswagen name inspires.
