Technology and specification

The Caddy may be smaller than the other Volkswagen vans in our range, but there’s not much the Caddy can’t shift.

Available with three engines ranging from 69PS to 140PS, all conforming to strict EU4 standards, the Caddy will carry loads up to 724kg. Each engine also offers more economy through improved efficiency, thanks to its unit injector technology.

Unique to the van market and new to the Caddy is Volkswagen Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG), a What Van? technology award winner. This gearbox is available on the 104PS TDI PD, and operates with two automatic clutches. This unique twin-clutch design means that gear changes are completed in under four-hundreths of a second and ensures smooth transitions between gears.

Also available from October 2008 the Caddy Sportline, boasting a range of enhancements and based on the 140PS TDI PD diesel engine this van offers style and flexibility. Its exterior demands respect and the interior offers comfort and luxury.

And if that wasn’t enough, the Caddy includes as standard a number of active safety features including Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Traction Control System (TCS) and Engine Braking Control (EBC).

With performance, technology and safety in mind, the Caddy really is a formidable proposition. Let's Go To Work.
